Job Title: Children’s Home Registered Manager (EBD)

Salary: Up to £66,000 (DOE)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Children’s Home Registered Manager to lead an existing children’s residential care home in Wigan. This Children’s Home Registered Manager role is focused on delivering residential support for children and young people with EBD and challenging behaviours, ensuring safe, therapeutic care and positive outcomes. The Children’s Home Registered Manager will manage an open 3-bedded home and work closely with internal RI and HR teams to maintain effective, compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of a 3-bedded children’s residential home as the Children’s Home Registered Manager in Wigan
- Ensure the home is fit to meet the statement of purpose and regulatory expectations for a Children’s Home Registered Manager
- Recruit, manage, and develop the staff team to support consistent, high-quality care
- Manage referrals and support effective admissions planning for the home in Wigan
- Create a safe and therapeutic environment that supports positive outcomes for each young person
- Work with RI and HR teams to ensure the safe and effective running of the home
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 5 in leadership and management
- NVQ Level 3 in children and young people
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role
- Proven ability to lead a team and maintain standards in a children’s residential setting
