Job Description:
Are you an experienced Children’s Home Manager ready to lead a residential care service with confidence and care? This Children’s Registered Manager role in Manchester offers the opportunity to work within a national organisation specialising in OFSTED-regulated support services, with clear development and career progression. You will work closely with the RI to ensure safe, compliant leadership and strong outcomes for young people with EBD.

If you’re looking for a Children’s Registered Manager position in Manchester, this is a full-time role (Monday–Friday) with on-call duties, supporting a high-quality service that meets OFSTED standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the RI to safely manage a children’s residential care home
  • Hold and maintain OFSTED registration for the children’s home
  • Lead the residential service, offering expert support to young people with EBD
  • Recruit, manage and develop the staff team alongside the HR team
  • Manage the residential staff team, including Deputies, Team Leaders and Support Workers
  • Ensure the service meets OFSTED standards and relevant compliance requirements
  • Work with the SMT to ensure the service implements company policies and procedures
  • Oversee quality assurance and continuous improvement activities
  • Manage the service budget effectively
  • Support the day-to-day running of the Children’s Registered Manager service in Manchester, Greater Manchester

Requirements:

  • Level 5 in leadership and management
  • Deputy or Registered Manager experience
  • Strong knowledge of OFSTED expectations and children’s residential care compliance
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams within a regulated environment
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday, with on-call duties
  • Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality support for young people with EBD
