Job Title: Children’s Home Registered Manager

Salary: Up to £72,000 (DOE)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Children’s Home Registered Manager to lead a 4-bedded children’s residential care home in Rotherham. This Children’s Home Registered Manager role is focused on delivering safe, high-quality, bespoke support for children and young people with learning disabilities and autism, ensuring 24/7 care and strong outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the children’s residential care home as the Children’s Home Registered Manager
- Work with the Responsible Individual (RI) to maintain and hold OFSTED registration for the children’s home
- Ensure young people receive bespoke care plans and are safe and supported at all times (24/7)
- Lead, build and develop the residential staff team, including Deputies, Team Leaders and Support Workers
- Ensure the service meets OFSTED standards and internal quality expectations
- Oversee recruitment and staffing to maintain safe, effective coverage
- Work with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to implement company policies and procedures
- Manage quality assurance processes and continuous improvement activities
- Manage budgets and contribute to service performance
Requirements:
- Proven experience in children’s residential care, with leadership responsibility at home or service level
- Strong understanding of OFSTED expectations and compliance requirements for a children’s home
- Experience managing staff teams and developing capability across roles
- Ability to ensure safe, person-centred support for children and young people with learning disabilities and autism
- Demonstrable experience with care planning, quality assurance, and service improvement
- Strong organisational skills, sound judgement, and a commitment to safeguarding
