Job Title: Children’s Home Manager
Location: Runcorn, Cheshire, England
Salary: Up to £70,000 + £5,000 starting bonus + performance bonuses (DOE)
Job Description:
Are you an experienced Children’s Home Manager ready to lead a brand-new service in Runcorn? This is an exciting opportunity for Deputy Managers seeking the next step or established Registered Managers to take full responsibility for a solo EBD children’s home in Runcorn. You will ensure safe, effective leadership while supporting children and young people with EBD and challenging behaviours, working closely with the Responsible Individual (RI) to maintain compliance with OFSTED and company standards.
Children’s Home Manager roles in Runcorn are all about impact—this home is brand new, so your leadership will help shape positive outcomes from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day running of the Children’s Home Manager service in Runcorn, ensuring safe and effective management
- Provide strong support to children and young people with EBD and challenging behaviours
- Work with the RI to ensure the service remains compliant with OFSTED and company standards
- Manage, recruit, develop and supervise the staff team to deliver child-focused support
- Manage safeguarding concerns in line with relevant policies and procedures
- Oversee the home’s budget and ensure resources are used effectively
- Maintain high standards of care and positive outcomes across the Children’s Home Manager service in Runcorn
Requirements:
- Level 5 in leadership and management
- Level 3 in children and young people
- Driving Licence
- Deputy or Registered Manager experience (relevant to children’s residential care)
- Commitment to safeguarding, compliance, and delivering high-quality support in Runcorn as a Children’s Home Manager
