Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager or a Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in their career. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small, 2-bed Children's Residential Home near Crediton, Devon, specialising in providing care and support for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The successful candidate will have full autonomy to manage the service, ensuring a high-quality, stable, and nurturing environment that promotes positive outcomes for young people. Key Responsibilities:
- Hold Ofsted Registration for the children's home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Provide strong leadership, direction, and management to the residential team.
- Oversee care planning, safeguarding, risk management, and record-keeping processes.
- Manage budgets, resources, and administrative duties efficiently.
- Foster a positive culture that promotes the well-being and development of all young people.
- Ensure the delivery of high standards of care and support for young people with EBD.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and external agencies.
Requirements:
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager within a children's residential setting.
- Demonstrable experience working with and leading teams supporting young people with EBD.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable car.
- (Desirable) NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children's Services) or currently working towards it.
