Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead one of our Ofsted-registered children’s homes in Gloucester. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children within a supportive and values-driven organisation. Based in Gloucester, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager in Gloucester, your daily duties will include:
- Taking full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the children’s home in Gloucester.
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a dedicated care team to deliver person-centred support.
- Playing an active role in referrals, recruitment, and placement decisions.
- Building strong relationships with external professionals, families, and stakeholders to support positive outcomes for children.
- Creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, understood, and empowered to thrive.
- Driving organisational growth and innovation through effective leadership.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Manager in Gloucester, you will need:
- Previous registration with Ofsted.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare.
- At least 2 years management experience in children’s residential services within the last 5 years.
- A minimum of 2 years supervising and managing staff.
- Excellent communication, emotional intelligence, and relationship-building skills.
- A calm, reflective, and resilient approach.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve better futures.
