Salary: Up to £53,000 per annum (DOE) + £5,000 Welcome Bonus + £7,500 Annual Bonus

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed children’s residential home in Bala, Gwynedd. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people by providing high-quality, tailored care within a supportive and professional environment. As part of a well-established children’s service, you will oversee the delivery of therapeutic care and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager based in Bala, your daily duties will include:
- Developing comprehensive care plans tailored to each young person’s emotional, behavioural, and health needs.
- Building and leading a motivated, skilled team by supporting recruitment, induction, and ongoing development.
- Fostering consultation with young people to involve them in decisions about their care.
- Allocating Key Workers to implement individualised care plans effectively.
- Maintaining high standards of care in line with regulatory requirements and the Home’s Statement of Purpose.
- Managing complaints, safeguarding concerns, and child protection issues promptly and effectively.
- Collaborating with parents, carers, and external professionals to promote the welfare of young people.
- Ensuring the home operates within budget and adheres to financial and resource management standards.
- Promoting a safe, nurturing environment that encourages positive behaviour and development.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Manager, you will need:
- Minimum Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care.
- Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (preferred, or enrolled within 6 months of starting).
- At least 2 years’ experience in residential children’s care, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
- Strong understanding of childcare legislation, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and team leadership skills.
- Knowledge of managing children with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
