Job Description:
Our client, a reputable provider of children’s residential care, is seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to oversee a modern 3-bed children’s EBD home in Newport. This role offers the opportunity to lead a well-established team in a supportive, nurturing environment, ensuring high standards of care for young people aged 8 to 16.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager based in Newport, your daily duties will include:
- Leading and managing the residential home to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies.
- Overseeing the care and development of young people, ensuring their needs are met in a safe and supportive environment.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with staff, young people, families, and external agencies.
- Managing staff recruitment, training, and performance to foster a motivated and professional team.
- Ensuring the home operates within budget and maintains high-quality care standards.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Registered Manager, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in children’s residential services.
- A Level 3 Children & Young People qualification, with a commitment to working towards Level 5 leadership and management qualification.
- Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check and full UK driving licence.
- Strong leadership skills and a passion for improving outcomes for young people.
