Salary: £42,000 – £45,000 per annum

Job Description

We are recruiting a Children’s Home Registered Manager for a well-established children’s residential service in Newport, Newport County. This is an opportunity to lead a settled, supportive home environment focused on safe, consistent care and positive outcomes for young people.

Key Responsibilities

As a Children’s Home Registered Manager based in Newport, your daily duties will include:

• Leading the day-to-day running of a children’s residential home, ensuring high-quality care and a stable environment
• Ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations, safeguarding standards, and internal policies
• Managing and developing the staff team through recruitment, supervision, training, and performance management
• Building effective relationships with families, social workers, and external professionals to support care planning
• Overseeing budgets and operational standards to maintain a well-run, safe, and nurturing home

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful as a Children’s Home Registered Manager, you will need:

• Level 3 Diploma for Children & Young People (or equivalent)
• At least 2 years’ experience in children’s residential services in a similar setting
• Commitment to working towards Level 5 Leadership & Management (if not already achieved)
• Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to undergo one)
• Full UK Driving Licence
