Job Title: Children's Home Registered Manager

Salary: Up to £57,500 per annum DOE + Bonus

Are you passionate about transforming the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Home Registered Manager to lead a new residential children’s home in Gloucester. As the Children's Home Registered Manager in Gloucester, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of care, and leading a motivated team to deliver exceptional support to young residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children's residential home in Gloucester, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each young person, promoting their safety, well-being, and development.
- Supervise, support, and motivate a team of care staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Maintain a strong focus on safeguarding, ensuring all children are kept safe and their voices are heard.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing continuous improvement strategies.
- Build strong relationships with young people, their families, and external agencies to support positive outcomes.
- Manage budgets, resources, and staffing schedules effectively to meet operational needs.
- Lead on staff training and development, including pursuing a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Children's Services or equivalent within six months of appointment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with vulnerable children and young people in a residential setting.
- Strong understanding of the statutory and regulatory environment for children’s homes.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A person-centred approach, with a passion for making a difference in young people's lives.
- QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Children's Services or equivalent (or willingness to undertake within six months).
- A positive, approachable, and proactive attitude with a creative and innovative mindset.
