Salary: Up to £57,500 per annum DOE + Bonus

Job Description:
Are you passionate about transforming the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Home Registered Manager to lead a new residential children’s home in Gloucester. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people, providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential. As the Children's Home Registered Manager in Gloucester, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of care, and leading a motivated team to deliver exceptional support to young residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children's residential home in Gloucester, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each young person, promoting their safety, well-being, and development.
  • Supervise, support, and motivate a team of care staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safeguarding, ensuring all children are kept safe and their voices are heard.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing continuous improvement strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with young people, their families, and external agencies to support positive outcomes.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and staffing schedules effectively to meet operational needs.
  • Lead on staff training and development, including pursuing a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Children's Services or equivalent within six months of appointment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with vulnerable children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of the statutory and regulatory environment for children’s homes.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A person-centred approach, with a passion for making a difference in young people's lives.
  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Children's Services or equivalent (or willingness to undertake within six months).
  • A positive, approachable, and proactive attitude with a creative and innovative mindset.
