About the Role
In this unique position, you will support young people aged 8–18, helping them overcome challenges, develop confidence, and foster independence. Based in Maer, you will live on-site during your four working days, with accommodation and meals provided, working a rota of four consecutive days followed by seven days off. Your role combines daily care with exciting outdoor activities, including climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, and hiking, all designed to build resilience and social skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Build nurturing, trusting relationships with young people to support emotional stability.
- Lead outdoor activities, encouraging adventure, confidence, and skill development.
- Provide personal and social development opportunities through structured activities.
- Deliver daily support and care routines, fostering independence.
- Collaborate effectively with the team to create a safe, engaging environment.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (must be over 21).
- Ability to work 39 hours per week on a rota of 4 days on, 8 days off, including sleep-ins.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Commitment to supporting young people in a residential setting.
Desirable
- Experience working with children or in a care role.
- Qualifications such as NVQ Level 3/5 in Health and Social Care or related fields.
