Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced professional to join a leading specialist provider as a Deputy Care Manager in King's Lynn. This role offers the chance to support the management team in delivering high-quality care within a children’s residential home that supports young people aged 8 to 18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management team in running the day-to-day operations of the children’s residential home in King's Lynn.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
- Assist with the induction and training of new staff members, embedding company procedures and culture.
- Ensure the delivery of outstanding care tailored to the physical, behavioural, and emotional needs of young people.
- Help develop and maintain individual placement and risk management plans.
- Support young people with daily activities, including family contact, community outings, and promoting independence and social skills.
Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Residential Services or equivalent (ESSENTIAL).
- Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker within children’s residential services (ESSENTIAL).
- Full UK Driving Licence, as transportation of young people may be required.
- Over the age of 21.
- Willingness to work towards or already hold a Level 5 qualification in Children’s Residential Care.
- Passionate about supporting young people aged 8 to 18 with EBD and committed to delivering excellent care.
