Job Title: Children’s Support Worker (Children’s Residential)
Location: Spalding, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom
Salary: £31,493 to 34,495 (inclusive of sleeps)
We are recruiting a Children’s Support Worker to join a children’s residential service in Spalding, Lincolnshire. As a Children’s Support Worker in Spalding, Lincolnshire, you will work alongside an experienced team of Managers and Support Workers to provide high-quality care for a young person with EBD and challenging behaviours. This is a full-time permanent role with long day shifts and sleep-ins required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the young person in all day-to-day activities and interests as a Children’s Support Worker in Spalding, Lincolnshire
- Promote independence and well-being for children with EBD and challenging behaviours
- Attend weekends away, holidays and trips away with the children
- Support weekend and evening activities, from community outings to creative activities such as climbing and baking
- Protect children and young people from risks to health and welfare
- Provide emotional and practical support within the home
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines to ensure safety
- Support, overcome and help minimise incidents when behaviour can be challenging
Requirements:
- A desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring and resilient nature
- Some professional or personal experience in a social care setting
- The right to work in the UK
- A driving licence is essential (for this Children’s Support Worker role in Spalding, Lincolnshire)
- Relevant qualifications welcomed
- Must be over the age of 21
