Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Children's Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider at a vibrant children’s residential service in Wisbech. This full-time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people with EBD and challenging behaviours. As a Children's Support Worker in Wisbech, you will work closely with an experienced team to deliver exceptional care, support independence, and create meaningful experiences for the children and young people in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
- Promote independence and well-being for children with EBD and challenging behaviours
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to enrich the children’s experiences
- Support children in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking cakes
- Protect children from risks to their health and welfare
- Provide emotional and practical support within the home
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
- Assist in managing and minimising challenging behaviours and incidents
Requirements:
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- Some professional or personal experience in social care
- The right to work in the UK
- A valid driving licence is essential
- Relevant qualifications are welcome but not mandatory
- Must be over the age of 21
