A leading specialist provider is seeking dedicated Children's Residential Support Workers to join a 4-bed children’s residential service in Warminster. This is an exciting opportunity to support young people aged 8-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours. If you are enthusiastic, resilient, and motivated to help young people develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a safe and caring environment, this role is perfect for you. Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, appropriate to their age.
- Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting.
- Manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
- Support young people to develop independence and well-being.
- Ensure a safe environment and keep up-to-date knowledge of individual care plans and communication preferences.
- Support and manage taxing behaviour safely and sympathetically.
- Develop positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or with young people is desirable.
- Experience in healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
- Must hold a full driving licence and have access to a car, as transportation of young people may be required.
- Applicants must be over 21 years of age.
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People is desirable.
- Ability to commute to Warminster.
