Job Title: Residential Care Worker
Location: Handsworth, Birmingham
Salary: £24,784 – £29,350 per annum
Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Residential Care Worker to join a well-regarded children’s home in Handsworth, Birmingham. Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people with daily routines, education, and personal development
- Build positive and professional relationships with young people
- Promote a safe, structured, and caring environment
- Manage and respond to challenging behaviours in a calm and consistent manner
- Work effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality care
- Contribute to care plans, daily records, and key working responsibilities
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or Level 4 in Children’s Residential Care, or willingness to work towards
- Full UK driving licence (manual or automatic)
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in a children’s residential setting (desirable but not essential)
- Resilient, patient, and committed to supporting young people
- Ability to work well within a team and follow guidance from senior staff
