Salary: £14.45 - £15.15 per hour + sleep-in allowance (approx. £3,000 to £6,000 annually)

We are seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our caring team in Sudbury, Suffolk. This role involves providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and young people with complex needs. Based in a beautiful setting, you will help children overcome challenges and develop the skills needed for a full and happy life.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker in Sudbury, your daily duties will include:
- Providing therapeutic care and emotional support tailored to each child's individual needs.
- Acting as a positive role model to promote independence and confidence.
- Organising and supporting fun activities, outings, and holidays to enrich the children’s experiences.
- Building trusting relationships to help children feel safe and valued.
- Supporting children through challenging situations and helping them develop coping strategies.
- Encouraging children to participate in daily tasks and decision-making processes.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will need:
- A caring, flexible, and resilient nature.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Previous experience in a similar support or care role is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to work shifts, including sleep-ins, to provide 24-hour support.
