Salary: £14.45 - £15.15 per hour + sleep-in allowance (approx. £3,000 to £6,000 annually) - £32,304 to £35,305

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our children’s home in Sudbury, Suffolk. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people by providing a safe, nurturing environment and tailored support to meet their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker in Sudbury, your daily duties will include:

  • Providing therapeutic care and emotional support to children and young people.
  • Acting as a positive role model to promote independence and life skills.
  • Organising and participating in activities such as outings, holidays, and recreational events.
  • Building trusting relationships to help children overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
  • Supporting children with their daily routines, including personal care and behaviour management.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children or young people in a residential, SEN, or mental health setting.
  • Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS check and a Full UK Driving Licence.
