Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, HP postcode area
Salary: £28493.40 – £29,913 per hour (plus sleep-ins paid at £62.64; approx. £3,000–£6,000 per annum additional)

Total Package: £31,493 - £35,913

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (39 hours per week, rota-based shifts)

Job Description:
We are recruiting a Residential Support Worker to join a children’s residential home team in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. This is a hands-on role supporting children and young people aged 8–18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties, helping to create a safe, caring and positive home environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Residential Support Worker based in Aylesbury, your daily duties will include:

• Providing consistent, child-centred support to help young people feel safe, valued and understood in a residential setting in Aylesbury
• Building positive relationships and supporting routines, education, activities and life skills
• Managing challenging behaviours calmly and professionally, following care plans and safeguarding procedures
• Working a rota of shifts including long days and sleep-ins, contributing to a supportive team culture
• Recording key information accurately and communicating effectively with colleagues and managers

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Residential Support Worker, you will need:

• A Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Experience supporting children/young people in a similar setting (or strong transferable experience with the right values and resilience)
• The ability to remain motivated, determined and adaptable in challenging situations
• Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check (mandatory)
