Our client, a leading provider of residential childcare services, is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join their team near Kidlington, Oxfordshire. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment, helping children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Residential Support Worker based in Kidlington, your daily duties will include:
- Providing compassionate care and support to children aged 8-18 in a residential setting.
- Working on a rota with shifts including long days and sleep-ins, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people.
- Building trusting relationships and promoting positive behaviour through engaging activities and support.
- Collaborating with the team and managers to deliver high standards of care and support tailored to individual needs.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Residential Support Worker, you will need:
- No specific qualifications are required; however, a passion for caring and supporting young people is essential.
- Experience working with children or in a care environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Full UK Driving Licence is required to support transport needs.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people, with an enhanced DBS check.
