Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team in Worcestershire, working at our family homes in Kempsey and Ombersley. This role involves caring for children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Residential Support Worker based in Worcestershire, your daily duties will include:
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to children and young people with mental health and behavioural challenges.
- Acting as a positive role model and building trusting relationships to promote their development.
- Supporting young people to participate in daily activities, empowering them to make decisions and develop independence.
- Working flexibly across shifts, including long days and sleep-in duties, to ensure consistent care and support.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Residential Support Worker, you will need:
- A full UK driving licence (mandatory).
- Experience supporting vulnerable children or young people, ideally with mental health or behavioural difficulties.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and resilience to handle challenging situations.
- The ability to work flexibly, including shift work and sleep-ins.
