Job Description:
Our client, a leading provider of children’s residential care, is seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker to join their team in Rotherham. This role offers an opportunity to support young people with emotional and behavioural needs in a calm, nurturing environment, making a positive difference every day.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker based in Rotherham, your daily duties will include:

  • Providing a safe and supportive home environment for children and young people.
  • Building positive relationships and supporting their daily routines, including meals, activities, and education.
  • Encouraging hobbies, interests, and social activities to promote confidence and independence.
  • Acting as a positive role model and supporting young people through challenging situations.
  • Supporting the team in managing challenging behaviours and safeguarding procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will need:

  • A caring, resilient, and positive attitude.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work shifts, including sleep-ins, evenings, and weekends.
  • A full UK driving licence (provisional licences are acceptable with a plan to obtain a full licence soon).
  • Relevant training or qualifications in care (e.g., NVQ Level 3, Care Certificate, safeguarding, trauma, de-escalation).
  • Experience supporting individuals with emotional and behavioural needs is desirable but not essential.
