Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our children’s home in Sudbury, set within beautiful grounds in Suffolk. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people by providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker based in Sudbury, your daily duties will include:
- Providing therapeutic care and emotional support tailored to each child's individual needs.
- Acting as a positive role model to promote independence and life skills.
- Organising and participating in activities such as outings, holidays abroad, and recreational events.
- Building trusting relationships and fostering a safe, caring environment.
- Supporting children through challenging situations and helping them reach their full potential.
- Encouraging children to enjoy everyday tasks and empowering them to make decisions about their lives.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will need:
- A full UK driving licence.
- Compassionate, flexible, and resilient nature with excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience in a similar support or care role is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to work shifts, including sleep-ins, to provide 24-hour support.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with children and young people.
