Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team at a children’s residential care home in Newtown, Powys. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive environment focused on providing high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people. Key Responsibilities:
As a Residential Support Worker based in Newtown, Powys, your daily duties will include:

• Supporting children and young people through personalised care plans and activities.
• Engaging in activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor games, and other recreational pursuits to promote development and well-being.
• Assisting with daily routines, behaviour management, and safeguarding within a fast-paced residential setting.
• Contributing to a positive, respectful environment that values the voices and rights of young people.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Residential Support Worker, you will need:

• A full manual driving licence (essential).
• Ability to work shift patterns of 3 on 6 off or 2 on 4 off, including Sleep In shifts (£67.50 per sleep-in).
• An energetic, caring, and approachable nature, with a passion for working with children and young people.
• Previous experience in a similar residential care environment is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the ability to pass an enhanced DBS check.
