Job Description:
Our client, a leading organisation dedicated to providing therapeutic care for children and young people, is seeking compassionate and motivated Residential Childcare Workers in Holford, Somerset. This role involves supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs within a specialised residential setting, contributing to their development and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Residential Childcare Worker based in Holford, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting the physical, emotional, and social development of children and young people.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people.
- Providing practical and emotional support, including assistance with daily routines and medical appointments.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to deliver holistic care.
- Maintaining accurate electronic records and documentation to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Residential Childcare Worker, you will need:
- A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care or equivalent.
- Experience working with children and young people, ideally in a residential or therapeutic setting.
- Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check and a Full UK Driving Licence.
- A proactive, caring approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
