Job Description:
Our client, a leading children’s charity, is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join their team in Leicestershire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable young people within a supportive and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will work primarily in Hinckley, with occasional travel across the region to support other homes.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Residential Support Worker based in Hinckley, your daily duties will include:

• Building trusting, nurturing relationships that promote each young person’s independence, wellbeing, and personal growth.
• Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and professionals to support holistic care.
• Contributing to the day-to-day running of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Accurately documenting and maintaining records in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards.
• Promoting and maintaining a safe, supportive environment at all times.
• Upholding safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the protection of all service users.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Residential Support Worker, you will need:

• Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or be willing to achieve this within the required timeframe.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Be motivated by the opportunity to positively impact young people's lives.
• Be flexible and committed to working sleep-ins, shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
• Relevant experience working with children and young people is desirable but not essential with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
