We are seeking a dedicated Residential Childcare Worker to join our team in St Athan, Vale of Glamorgan. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to young people aged 14 and above within a registered home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Residential Childcare Worker based in St Athan, your daily duties will include:
- Delivering emotional and physical care to young people, supporting their wellbeing and development.
- Using psychological and trauma-informed approaches to provide child-centred, empathetic support.
- Recording and evidencing all key work activities in line with organisational and regulatory standards.
- Supporting the management team to identify and escalate risks related to safeguarding and health and safety.
- Building positive relationships with young people, their families, and external partners to promote their best interests.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Residential Childcare Worker, you will need:
- An NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with vulnerable young people in a residential or similar setting.
- Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check and a Full UK Driving Licence.
