Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Support Worker to join our team in Bridgend. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people within a supportive social care environment. The position begins as a temporary assignment, with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Children's Support Worker based in Bridgend, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting children and young people in their day-to-day activities and interests
- Promoting independence and overall wellbeing of the young people
- Attending weekends away, holidays, and trips to support children’s social activities
- Providing emotional and practical support to children within your care
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of young people by adhering to care plans and guidelines
- Supporting behaviour management and incident minimisation, including restraint training if qualified
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children's Support Worker, you will need:
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a similar social care setting
- TMVA - Restraint Training Certificate (or willingness to undergo training)
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
