Job Title: Children Support Worker (Children’s Residential Support Worker)
Location: Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, United Kingdom
Salary: £14.24 – £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

As a Children Support Worker in Abergavenny, you’ll join a supportive team to provide compassionate, consistent care in a warm and nurturing residential setting. This Children Support Worker role offers flexible shift options and the chance to help young people build independence, confidence, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day care, support, and encouragement as a Children Support Worker in Abergavenny
- Promote independence and personal development for children and young people
- Support young people during outings, holidays, and trips (including weekends away)
- Safeguard health, safety, and wellbeing at all times as a Children Support Worker
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safeguarding procedures
- Support children during challenging behaviour, helping to de-escalate situations
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages trust, resilience, and growth
Requirements:
- At least 6 months’ experience in social care or working with children
- A current UK Driver’s Licence (required for the Children Support Worker role in Abergavenny)
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
- Compassionate, caring, and resilient approach, with a genuine desire to support vulnerable children
