Job Title: Children's Support Worker
Location: Badgworth, Axbridge
Salary: £14.24 - £28.40 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Time: 08:00 - Sleep - 08:00 

Job Description:

Our client, a leading specialist provider in social care, is seeking dedicated Children's Support Workers for their residential services in Badgworth, Axbridge. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support children and young people in a nurturing environment, helping them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests

  • Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to promote independence and wellbeing

  • Assist with organising and supporting weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or trips to Butlins

  • Maintain a safe environment by understanding and following care plans and guidelines

  • Provide emotional and practical support to young people

  • Support behaviour management and minimise incidents, including restraint training (or willingness to undergo training)

  • Promote the safety, health, and welfare of children and young people in your care

Requirements:

  • A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people

  • Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature

  • At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting

  • Restraint training (TMVA) certificate or willingness to undertake a 3-day course

  • Valid UK Driving Licence

  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

  • Right to work in the UK
