Job Title: Children's Support Worker

Location: Usk, Monmouthshire, South Wales

Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Employment Type: Temporary, with option for Temp to Perm

Job Description:

Our client, a leading provider of residential care services in Usk, Monmouthshire, is seeking dedicated Children's Support Workers to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
As a Children's Support Worker based in Usk, your daily duties will include:

• Supporting children and young people in all aspects of their daily activities and interests.
• Promoting independence and wellbeing through personalised care plans.
• Attending weekends away, holidays, and trips to provide consistent support.
• Engaging in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking, to enrich the children’s experiences.
• Ensuring the safety and welfare of young people by adhering to care guidelines and risk assessments.
• Providing emotional and practical support to help children overcome challenges.
• Supporting behaviour management strategies and minimising incidents when behaviour is challenging.
• Attending and supporting children during outings, activities, and residential trips.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children's Support Worker, you will need:

• A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature.
• At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a similar social care setting.
• TMVA - Restraint Training Certificate (or willingness to undergo a 3-day course).
• Valid UK Driving Licence.
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS check on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
• The right to work in the UK.
