We are recruiting a Children Support Worker to join a supportive residential care setting in Gorseinon, Swansea. This is a rewarding opportunity to help children and young people build confidence, independence, and brighter outcomes through consistent, person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
As a Children Support Worker based in Gorseinon, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting children and young people with day-to-day routines, activities, and meaningful interests
- Providing emotional and practical support, following care plans and safeguarding guidance
- Helping to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour, promoting safety and wellbeing at all times
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Children Support Worker, you will need:
- At least 6 months’ experience in a similar children’s care / social care setting
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Enhanced DBS Check (on the update service or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Restraint training (e.g., TMVA/PMVA/PBM) or willingness to complete training
