We are recruiting a Children’s Support Worker to join a supportive, values-led service in Porthcawl, Bridgend County Borough. Key Responsibilities
As a Children’s Support Worker based in Porthcawl, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting young people with daily routines, emotional wellbeing, and independence skills using a calm, person-centred approach
- Promoting safeguarding at all times by following care plans, risk assessments, and organisational policies, and escalating concerns appropriately
- Building positive, professional relationships and contributing to a consistent, structured setting through clear boundaries and confident communication
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Children’s Support Worker, you will need:
- A relevant care qualification (or willingness to work towards one) such as NVQ/QCF Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People)
- Previous experience supporting children or young people in a care, residential, education, or community setting
- Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one) and a strong understanding of safeguarding best practice
