Key Responsibilities
As a Children Support Worker based in Treharris, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting children and young people with day-to-day routines, emotional wellbeing, and development of independent living skills
- Implementing care and behaviour support plans, using de-escalation approaches and maintaining clear professional boundaries
- Completing accurate daily records and incident reports, and working closely with senior staff and partner professionals to ensure safeguarding standards are met
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Children Support Worker, you will need:
- A passion for supporting children and young people (professional, consistent, and trauma-informed in your approach)
- Relevant experience in a similar setting (e.g., children’s residential, supported accommodation, homeless services, or community-based support)
- Mandatory compliance, including an Enhanced DBS Check (or willingness to undertake one)
