Children Support Worker – Banwell

Vetro Social Care is seeking dedicated Children’s Residential Support Workers to join our team in Banwell, with immediate starts available.
Position Overview:
As a Children’s Support Worker, you will work alongside an experienced team of managers and support staff in a welcoming and nurturing environment. You will provide day-to-day care, support, and encouragement to children in a residential setting, fostering their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people with daily activities, interests, and development needs, promoting their independence and confidence.
- Facilitate participation in recreational activities, outings, and trips, including weekends away and holidays, from outdoor adventures to social outings like trips to Butlins.
- Create a safe and supportive environment by adhering to care plans and safeguarding policies.
- Offer emotional and practical support tailored to each child’s individual needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and help de-escalate challenging situations, ensuring the safety and welfare of all residents.
- Attend and assist during special events, outings, and activities that enhance social skills and social interactions.

- Competitive hourly pay rates from £14.24 to £28.48 (inclusive of holiday pay), with weekly payments and no payroll charges.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A genuine desire to positively impact the lives of children and young people.
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient personality with a passion for social care.
- At least 6 months of experience working with children or within a similar social care environment.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
