Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Caerphilly, Wales, UK
Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Job Description:

A leading specialist provider of social care services is seeking dedicated Children's Residential Support Workers to join their team in Caerphilly. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people with daily activities and interests
  • Promote independence and overall wellbeing of young residents
  • Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with children, including activities like climbing, baking, or trips to Butlins
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of children by following care plans and guidelines
  • Provide emotional and practical support to young people
  • Minimise and manage challenging behaviour effectively
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of individual care plans and safety procedures

Requirements:

  • A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
  • Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
  • At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
