Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Newport, Wales, UK
Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be instrumental in providing emotional support, promoting independence, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young residents in a caring and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children and young people with daily activities and interests
• Promote independence and overall wellbeing of the young residents
• Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with children, including activities like climbing, baking, or weekend breaks in holiday parks
• Provide emotional and practical support to children in your care
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
• Support children in managing challenging behaviour and minimise incidents
• Ensure the safety and welfare of children at all times

Requirements:

• A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
• At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
