Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Newport, Wales, UK
Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

A leading specialist provider is seeking dedicated Children's Residential Support Workers in Newport to join their team immediately. As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be instrumental in providing emotional support, promoting independence, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young residents in a caring and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people with daily activities and interests
- Promote independence and overall wellbeing of the young residents
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with children, including activities like climbing, baking, or weekend breaks in holiday parks
- Provide emotional and practical support to children in your care
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
- Support children in managing challenging behaviour and minimise incidents
- Ensure the safety and welfare of children at all times
Requirements:
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
