Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Manager to join a leading specialist provider of children’s residential care in Barry. This role is ideal for experienced Senior Residential Support Workers or current Deputy Managers seeking a rewarding management position within a not-for-profit organisation committed to delivering high-quality, child-centred care. The Deputy Manager will play a vital role in supporting the operational leadership of the children’s home, ensuring high standards of safeguarding, compliance, and positive outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the children’s home in Barry
- Supervise, mentor, and develop residential support staff to ensure a high-performing team
- Maintain compliance with safeguarding, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to care planning, risk management, and achieving positive outcomes for children
- Build and maintain strong relationships with professionals, families, and external agencies
Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (CYP)
- Proven experience in a children’s residential setting, with leadership potential
- Senior Residential Support Workers encouraged to apply
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and commitment to high standards of care
