Salary: £38,500 per year + £75 per sleep shift

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to oversee a 2-bedded learning disabilities (LD) home in Bury. The Deputy Manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the home, supporting staff, and maintaining compliance with care standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the learning disabilities home in Bury
  • Lead and motivate a team of care staff to deliver exceptional person-centered care
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards
  • Assist in staff training, supervision, and development
  • Contribute to care planning and review processes for residents in Bury
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Support children and young people, meeting OFSTED standards

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a children's setting, ideally with learning disabilities
  • Leadership skills with the ability to support and develop a team
  • Knowledge of OFSTED regulations and compliance standards
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work a mixture of on and off-shift patterns, including approximately one sleep shift per week
  • Relevant care qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is preferred
