Salary: £29,991 – £34,791 per annum + Sleep-in payments

Are you an experienced Senior Support Worker ready for the next step, or a Deputy Manager looking for a better-structured role?
We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Deputy Children’s Home Manager to join our team in Handsworth. This is a pivotal role where you will balance frontline care with the operational leadership required to drive an "Outstanding" service.
Unlike many Deputy roles that leave you "stuck on the floor," we provide 1–2 dedicated office admin days per week. This ensures you have the protected time to focus on audits, care planning, and staff mentorship without constant interruption.
The Role & Responsibilities

Operational Support: Work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home exceeds Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.

Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Support Workers, modeling best practices in therapeutic care.

Balanced Rota: Engage in direct shift work with the young people while utilizing your weekly admin days for essential management tasks.

Safeguarding: Act as a lead for safeguarding, ensuring the well-being and protection of all residents.

Requirements

Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential.

Experience: Proven experience at a Senior or Deputy level within a Children's Residential setting.

Driving: A Full UK Driving Licence is required for this role to support the needs of the young people.

Flexibility: Must be able to work a shift pattern that includes weekends and sleep-ins (additional payments apply).
