An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Children’s Home Deputy Manager in Burton Upon Trent at a leading specialist provider dedicated to supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the residential staff team, providing supervision and mentorship.
- Deputise for the Registered Manager, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Oversee the development and review of Care Plans and Risk Assessments tailored to individual needs.
- Ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted standards, working towards maintaining or achieving a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' rating.
- Champion safeguarding procedures to protect all young people.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with external agencies, including social workers and health professionals.
- Assist with daily operational tasks such as rotas, budget management, and record keeping.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory or senior experience within a Children’s Residential setting.
- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted Inspection Framework and safeguarding legislation.
- Proven experience working with children with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Desirable: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards it.
