Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Children's Registered Manager to oversee a new residential service in Chorley. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to lead a team supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours. The Children's Registered Manager will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, compliance with OFSTED standards, and promoting the safety, well-being, and independence of the young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register and manage the residential home with OFSTED, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Work closely with the Responsible Individual (RI) to ensure the service is effective and meets the needs of young people.
- Lead, recruit, and manage a team of care staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and life skills.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies and other authorities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential care for children or young people.
- At least 2 years’ experience supervising and managing care staff.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Full UK driving licence.
- In-depth knowledge of OFSTED regulations, relevant legislation, and Quality Standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships.
