Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Children's Registered Manager to oversee a new residential service in Chorley. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team supporting up to four children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours. The Children's Registered Manager will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, compliance with OFSTED standards, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for young people. Key Responsibilities:
- Register and maintain OFSTED compliance as the manager of the residential home in Chorley.
- Work closely with the Responsible Individual (RI) to ensure the service effectively supports young people.
- Lead, recruit, and manage a team of care staff, promoting a positive and professional working environment.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and life skills.
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and safeguarding of all children and young people in the home.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential care for children or a related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience supervising and managing care staff.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Full UK driving licence.
- In-depth knowledge of OFSTED regulations, relevant legislation, and Quality Standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships.
