Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Children's Registered Manager to oversee a new residential service in Chorley. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team in delivering therapeutic support to children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours. The Children's Registered Manager will be responsible for ensuring the service meets OFSTED standards and regulatory requirements, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for young residents. Key Responsibilities:
- Register and maintain OFSTED registration as the manager of the residential home in Chorley.
- Work closely with the Responsible Individual (RI) to ensure the home operates effectively and in compliance with all regulations.
- Recruit, manage, and develop a team of care staff to deliver high-quality support.
- Promote independence and life skills among young people, prioritising their safety and well-being.
- Ensure the service adheres to all relevant legislation, quality standards, and OFSTED expectations.
- Build meaningful relationships with children, young people, and staff to foster a positive environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential care for children or a related role.
- At least 2 years’ experience supervising and managing care staff.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Full UK driving licence.
- In-depth knowledge of OFSTED regulations, relevant legislation, and quality standards.
