Job Title: Children's Home Manager – Residential Care Sector

Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum
Job Description:
Our client, a leading specialist provider in residential childcare, is seeking an experienced Children's Home Manager to oversee a dedicated children's residential care home in Bolton. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a passion for supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours. The Children's Home Manager will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, maintaining OFSTED compliance, and leading a committed staff team to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of a children's residential care home in Bolton, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality standards are met.
- Lead and develop a team of staff, working closely with HR to recruit, train, and manage personnel.
- Work with the Responsible Individual (RI) to ensure the service adheres to OFSTED regulations and guidelines.
- Oversee the management of a solo placement service supporting children with EBD and challenging behaviours.
- Maintain a safe, effective environment that promotes positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to support children's needs and development.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Deputy or Registered Manager within a children's residential setting.
- Valid driving license.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of OFSTED regulations and standards.
