Job Description:
An established and reputable children’s residential care provider is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager to lead a thriving home in Accrington. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a passion for supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and compliant environment that continues to deliver high standards of care. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the children’s home in Accrington, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards and company policies
- Lead, recruit, and develop a skilled staff team to deliver high-quality care
- Oversee staff training and performance management
- Ensure the home provides a safe, supportive environment for young people with EBD and challenging behaviours
- Manage referrals, admissions, and the home’s budget effectively
- Report to the Responsible Individual and Director, maintaining clear communication and accountability
- Maintain and improve the home’s Ofsted rating and overall service quality
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Deputy or Registered Manager within a children’s residential setting in Accrington or nearby areas
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (completed or in progress)
- Valid driving licence
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and delivering excellent care standards
