Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home (EBD)
Location: Erdington, Birmingham, West Midlands
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to lead the opening and operation of a new 3-bed residential children's home in Erdington, Birmingham. The home will provide a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager ready for the next step, or a current Registered Manager seeking a new challenge to build and lead a service from the ground up.
Salary & Contract Details

Salary: Up to £50,000 per year (depending on experience).

Bonus: 10% performance-based annual bonus potential.

Contract: Permanent, Full-time.

Working Hours: Standard full-time schedule, typically Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

Start Date: Immediate availability is desirable.
Key Responsibilities & Compliance
As the Registered Manager, you will hold the Ofsted registration for the home and be accountable for all aspects of the service. Your primary focus will be on:

Ofsted Compliance: Ensuring the home meets and exceeds all Ofsted standards and relevant children's home regulations.

Operational Management: Managing the day-to-day running, administration, and financial aspects of the service.

Leadership & Team Building: Recruiting, leading, mentoring, and developing a small, new team of care professionals.

Culture: Creating and maintaining a supportive, positive, and child-centred culture for both staff and residents.

Care Standards: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, therapeutic care for young people with EBD.
Essential Requirements
We are looking for a highly capable and child-centred leader with a proven track record.

Experience: Proven leadership experience within a children's residential setting (e.g., current Deputy Manager or experienced Registered Manager).

Knowledge: Comprehensive and current understanding of Ofsted regulations and the Quality Standards for Children's Homes.

Approach: A compassionate, empathetic, and child-centred approach to care management.

Location: Must be able to commute reliably to Erdington, Birmingham.
