Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Children's Residential Home Manager to lead a 4-bed children's residential service in Neath. This role is ideal for experienced managers passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). The Children's Residential Home Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, therapeutic care in a safe and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support staff within the children's residential service
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people
- Oversee the delivery of therapeutic care and support
- Maintain compliance with RISCA legislation and quality standards
- Lead recruitment, staff development, and performance management
- Promote a positive, nurturing environment that encourages young people's growth and independence
- Collaborate with external agencies and families to support young people's needs
Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children's Services)
- NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Services
- Proven experience in a Deputy or Registered Manager role within a children's residential setting
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Knowledge of legislation and standards relevant to children's residential care
- Passion for improving outcomes for children and young people with EBD
