Job Title: Children's Home Registered Manager - EBD Residential Care

Salary: Up to £53,000 per year + up to £5,000 bonus
Job Description:
An established specialist provider of children's residential services is seeking a dedicated Children's Home Registered Manager to lead a new 4-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step into a managerial role or a seasoned Registered Manager looking for a fresh challenge within a supportive, child-centred organisation. The Children's Home Registered Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring high standards of care and compliance, while fostering a nurturing environment for young people.
Key Responsibilities of the Children's Home Registered Manager:
- Maintain a high-quality residential service, working collaboratively with staff, stakeholders, and external professionals
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards for children's residential care
- Provide support and guidance to staff and young people within the home
- Create and sustain a safe, nurturing, and homely environment for children and young people
- Manage challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism
- Oversee staff development, training, and supervision to ensure continuous improvement
Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Children’s Services (mandatory)
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce
- Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager within a children's residential setting
- Experience working with children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) is preferred
- Strong leadership and managerial skills to motivate and develop a team
