Job Description:
Our client, a leading specialist provider, is seeking an experienced Residential Home Manager to oversee three standalone care homes in Erdington. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of £55,000. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing residential care settings, with at least two years of supervisory experience. You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with frameworks and regulations. This role provides support from the Regional Inspector and Operations Manager, with a dedicated management team in place. The homes are rated good and cater to individuals with low-level learning disabilities and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of three residential care homes in Erdington.
- Lead and support a full staff team to deliver high-quality care.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory frameworks and company policies.
- Manage staff recruitment, training, and development.
- Maintain excellent relationships with residents, families, and external agencies.
- Monitor and improve care standards to ensure the homes remain rated good or above.
- Support the management team with strategic planning and operational improvements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience in residential care.
- Proven experience managing a care home, ideally in a standalone setting.
- Strong understanding of care frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with low-level learning disabilities and emotional/behavioural difficulties.
- Full UK driving license is preferred.
