Job Title: Registered Manager – Children's Home

Salary: £50,000 per annum
Job Description:
Our client, a reputable provider of children’s care services in Birmingham, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a new solo children’s home in the north of the city. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation with a strong reputation for quality and stability. The successful candidate will play a key role in embedding the home within the company’s culture and ensuring the delivery of high standards of care for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the needs of children and young people.
- Maintain and promote a positive, nurturing environment for children and staff.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, and development to ensure a high-performing team.
- Ensure the home’s compliance with Ofsted standards and company policies.
- Build strong relationships with local authorities and external partners.
- Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring effective resource utilisation.
- Support and mentor staff to deliver exceptional care and support.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work independently and embed the home within organisational culture.
- Compassionate approach with a focus on children’s wellbeing.
- Relevant qualifications in children’s care or social work (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People).
- Valid DBS check and right to work in the UK.
